Duty calls you back to walking Fat Cat, who has by now long been walking himself, and you step outside only to discover that he's nowhere in sight. You sit down on the bottom step to take in the sight of this beautiful orange dawn, and just as your senses sharpen and adjust to the cool country air you hear an indistinct canine yelp from far off to the right... over by Old Man Winterslow's place. At that very moment, you also hear the telltale clanging of metal in the little barn to the left- Fat Cat must have gotten in there to chase the kittens again.
